Our Story

Brown Auction, founded by John and Jerry Brown in 1940, has a rich history of providing exceptional auction services! They began with traditional farm sales, selling goats, chickens, and items like one-horse plows and wooden iceboxes, just as they were fading in popularity.

Back then, depression glass was just emerging, and bids often started at a mere quarter! The local banker acted as the clerk, cashing out of his pocket and offering loans on-site with just a handshake.
